Current Clubs in St. Lawrence County

If you are interested in joining a 4-H club, please contact the 4-H Office at 315-379-9192 to discuss opportunities. The following clubs are currently chartered in St. Lawrence County.

Ag Academy

Canton area- This club is comprised of high school juniors and seniors from the BOCES Agricultural program. This club is housed at the extension learning farm. 

Antwerp Country Stars

DeKalb/Antwerp area – This club offers a wide range of activities including arts and crafts, community service, animal science, environmental activities.

Breezy Riders

Massena area- This club is primarily focused on horses and riding. Members learn about horse psychology, care, comfort, feeding, health etc. This club meets once a month. 

Dairy Devils

This club is located in the Gouverneur area and is primarily focused on dairy and cows.  They also participate in projects and activities to prepare for the Fair.

Equestrian Sport

This club is located just outside of Potsdam in the Brasher/Winthrop area and is comprised of youth who are interested in taking part in riding lessons and learning about horses.  Members participate in riding lessons and 4-H events throughout the year and participate in the County Fair.

Happy Helpers

This club meets in the Gouverneur area and participates in 4-H events throughout the year.  

Jolly Ranchers

Heuvelton area – This club offers a wide range of activities including animal science, crafts, community service. Members participate in 4-H events and activities throughout the year. 

Just Equestrian

This club is located in the Massena area and is comprised of youth who are interested in taking part in riding lessons and learning about horses. Members participate in riding lessons at Scott Loomis' and enjoy participating in 4-H events throughout the year including the County Fair.

North County Warriors

Canton area– This club has primarily younger children participating in a wide range of activities including, crafts, and community service. This club meets monthly at the extension learning farm.

North Country Neighbors

Richville area – This club participates in a wide range of activities such as arts and crafts. Members meet monthly at an agreed upon location. 

North Wind Afterschool

Canton area – This is an afterschool enrichment program. Members are buses to the extension learning farm from the Canton Central school district. This club uses the 4-H curriculum and focuses on arts and crafts, cooking, gardening, outdoor activities, and animal science. 

Paws Dog Club

Canton area-  The focus of the Paws Club is dogs- training, showing, grooming, etc. The club also does fundraising, crafts, and community service, animal health and anatomy. Members participate in 4-H events and activities and meet monthly at the extension learning farm. 

Pine Hill Pioneers

Macomb area – This club focuses on activities including, crafts, fundraising, and community service. Members also learn about horses and participate in some dog projects.

Raindrop Roundup

Lisbon area- The club meets weekly from mid January thru May for work on public presentations, and from mid May thru Sept. they meet to ride and / or work with horses 3 to 4 times a week. This club was founded in 1999. This is primarily a horse club; however, members have also shown a "roundup" of animals including chickens, sheep, goats, cattle,rabbits, and dogs. We have a major focus on public presentations and horse communications. ALL members participate! Where horses are concerned this club covers many aspects not just riding. Members learn about horse psychology, care, comfort, feeding, health etc.  Members try to participate in as many educational horse events as possible to expand their knowledge.

Rock Island

Gouverneur area - This club participates in a wide range of activities such as arts and crafts and sewing. 

Scottish Angels

Edwards area - This club offers a wide range of activities such as arts and crafts. Members participate in several 4-h events throughout the year. 

Shoots and Roots

Canton area- This club meets the first Monday of every month during winter months; During the summer months we meet at other locations to do garden walks. This is a Horticulture-based club. Members learn about all types of plants and the world around us. No previous knowledge is required, just a curiosity and interest in seeds, fruits, leaves and plants. They make an annual trip to Montreal Botanical Gardens and compete in Horticulture Contests at the local, state and national levels.

Willow Shade Angels

Edwards area - This club offers a wide range of activities such as arts and crafts.
