North Country Fruit and Vegetable Prescription Program (FVRx)

FVRx is a produce prescription program. Join us!

How FVRx Works

Healthcare and community-based organization partners refer eligible adults to nutrition education workshops paired with vouchers redeemable for fresh produce.

FVRx offers a series of 6 workshops, 1 per week. Workshops are held in-person or via Zoom, depending on location.

Workshops include interactive sessions, food demonstrations, and a farmers market or grocery store tour. At select workshops, participants receive a free kitchen item to assist with preparing recipes.

After each workshop attended, participants receive $25 in vouchers to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables from participating farmers or grocers. If all 6 workshops are attended, that’s $150 in vouchers for fresh fruits and vegetables!
