Youth are invited to complete their Youth for the Quality Care of Animals certification through this fun, hands-on session. Participants will learn essential skills in responsible animal care, ethics and food safety. Youth will practice safe animal injection protocols using a bovine injection simulator.
YQCA certification is designed to be useful and help prepare you for your show but also prepare you as a young producer in the animal agriculture industry. That's why the program includes information on multiple species even though you may only be raising one or two--we hope that you see that by raising animals you are part of a larger community that relies on the good faith of everyone doing their part.
Registration is done directly through yqcaprogram.org. Participants must create an account, then select the in-person training at CCE. There is a $3 fee that is paid directly to YQCA for the program.
Step-by-step instructions to create an account and register for the training can be found here
