Are you thinking about adding laying or meat chickens to your farm or homestead? Join Carmen Hostetter, CCE Commercial Livestock Educator, for a hands-on workshop focused on small-flock poultry management. Topics include chick brooding, housing and equipment, common poultry diseases, nutrition, meat bird processing considerations, egg and meat sale regulations and more.
Participants will also tour different poultry housing at the CCE Extension Learning Farm and practice basic health checks using CCE chickens.
