For more than 35 years, Cornell Cooperative Extension SLC and the SUNY Canton Veterinary Technician Program have provided local youth to gain hands-on experience in animal science.
The program is held March 20, 27 and April 3, 10 and 17 from 6:30-8:00 pm. April 10th will be held at Cornell Cooperative Extension Learning Farm. All other nights will be held at SUNY Canton Newell Vet Tech Center. Program open to youth ages 13-18 year-old.
This year's classes will include Intro to Vet Science, Emergency Care, Suturing, Clinical Pathology- running fecals and blood tests, Large Animal Night, surgery night and so much more! These hands-on classes are taught by vet tech students with assistance from their professors.
$40 enrolled 4-Hers, $65 non 4-Hers
