Getting the Most from Your Woodlands and An Update on Forest Pests, Weeds, & Diseases

Join New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, Region 6 Forester, Steven Sherwood and Cornell Cooperative Extension, Natural Resource Educator, Nick Hamilton-Honey for an update on forestry programs, grants, invasive species, and pests. Programs include stewardship assistance, sustainable forestry practices, seedling sales, ag assessment, PRISM, and more. Grants include Regenerate, Buffer in a Bag, and EQIP. Forest pests, weeds, and diseases include emerald ash borer, spongy moth, spotted lanternfly, hemlock woolly adelgid, honeysuckle, buckthorn, white pine decline, spruce rust, and more. This event will be in the Front Classroom at the Cornell Cooperative Extension Learning Farm at 2043B State Highway 68, Canton, NY from 6-8pm on Thursday, September 29th.
