Sheep & Goats

Sheep and goats are well suited to North Country farms and families. Northern New York sheep and goat farmers work together to market their products and improve breeding stock. Sheep and Goat Week is a series of meetings held around the North Country in the spring and fall. In addition there are workshops on parasite management, lambing and kidding, tours and more. The Extension Learning Farm has a flock of 80 commercial Dorset type sheep that are grazed all summer with our herd of Angus cows.
