This is an exciting panel, and the first of its kind in St. Lawrence County. Discussion featuring regional caterers, farmers and kitchen managers. These food entrepreneurs are located across the North Country and include varying degrees of local ingredient sourcing in their products.
The audience will have the opportunity to hear their stories as well as the nitty-gritty of ingredient sourcing, permits, marketing, customer service and operating from a shared kitchen. A simple meal is included in the cost of registration and there will be ample time for questions. Event is free but pre-registration is required.
Throughout 2018, Cornell Cooperative Extension of St. Lawrence County is offering a unique slate of workshops for producers and food businesses in market strategies, value-added production, food safety plans and business development. These workshops are made possible through a USDA Rural Business Development Grant.
