These workshops are made possible with the generous support of Nature's Storehouse, a natural foods store in downtown Canton. They donated all the spices and non-produce ingredients for the entire workshop series.

Session 1:  Preserving the Berry Patch:  Flavorful Jams for your Pantry

August 8, 5:30-7:30pm

This workshop features 3 recipes that all differ in ingredients and types of pectin. This includes use of both fresh and frozen berries as well as instruction in making jams with full and low sugar, including use of natural sweeteners like honey.

Session 2:  Crispy Pickles:  The Joys of Water Bath Canning

August 24, 5:30-7:30pm

Get the basics of water bath canning via fun with peppers, beans and cucumbers!

Session 3:  All About Tomatoes:  Sauces & More

September 16, 1:00-4:00pm

This hands-on workshop features 3 delicious recipes + instructions for safely canning the tomato bounty.

Session 4:  Savor the Flavor:  Freezing Hot Sauces & Homemade Condiments

September 30, 3:00-5:00pm

Are you curious, yet uncertain about using a pressure canner? Get clear directions & hands-on experience preparing meats, soups and veggies.
