Current Clubs in St. Lawrence County

If you are interested in joining a 4-H club, please contact the 4-H Office at 315-379-9192 to discuss opportunities. The following clubs are currently chartered in St. Lawrence County.

Antwerp Country Stars

DeKalb/Antwerp area – Wide range of activities including arts and crafts, community service, animal science, environmental activities.

Happy Helpers

Gouverneur area – Currently primarily younger children participating in a wide range of activities including, crafts, miniature horses, community service, etc.

Happy Tribe

Meeting times: The Club meets monthly on the second Monday of the month. Meets in Canton – Small club that participates in a wide range of activities.

Jolly Ranchers

Heuvelton area – Wide range of activities including animal science, crafts, community service, etc.

Just Equestrians

Massena area - Primary focus on horses and riding.

Mighty Pines

Meets in Canton- Primary focus on clothing and textiles.

North Woods

Richville area – Small club that participates in a wide range of activities.

Paws Dog Club

Location of 4-H Club meeting: ELF at 6:30PM

Meeting times: The club meets monthly on the third Monday of the Month.

Description of club: The focus of the Paws Club is dogs- training, showing, grooming, etc. The club also does fundraising, crafts, and community service. The members are from all over St. Law. County.

Pine Hill Pioneers

Macomb area – Currently primarily younger children participating in a wide range of activities including, crafts, fundraising, and community service. Has a focus in horses and some participation with dog projects.

Raindrop Roundup

Meeting times: The club meets weekly from mid January thru May for work on public presentations, and from mid May thru Sept. they meet to ride and / or work with horses 3 to 4 times a week.

Description of club: Founded in 1999. This club is primarily a horse club; however, members have also shown a "roundup" of animals including chickens, sheep, goats, cattle,rabbits, and dogs. We have a major focus on public presentations and horse communications. ALL members participate! Where horses are concerned we cover many aspects not just riding. Members learn about horse psychology, care, comfort, feeding, health etc.   Members try to participate in as many educational horse events as possible to expand their knowledge.

Reintree 4-H Club

Canton/Heuvelton area- Focus in horses and riding.

Richville Rockets

Richville area- Small club that participates in a wide range of activities.

Rock Island

Gouverneur area - Small club that participates in a wide range of activities.

Scottish Angels

Edwards area - Small club that participates in a wide range of activities.

Shoots and Roots

Location of 4-H Club meeting: ELF at 6:30PM

Meeting day and time: First Monday of every month during winter months; During the summer months we meet at other locations to do garden walks.

Description of club: Our club is Horticulture-based. We learn about all types of plants and the world around us. No previous knowledge is required, just a curiosity and interest in seeds, fruits, leaves and plants. We make an annual trip to Montreal Botanical Gardens, and compete in Horticulture Contests at the local, state and national level.

St. Lawrence County C.O.W.S

Members from all over St. Law. Co, meets at various dairy farms. Primarily focused with dairy cattle and showing.
