She is working hard to connect Medicaid members to resources they may be eligible for under the 1115 Medicaid waiver. Previous positions at CCE include Nutrition Assistant for SNAP-Ed NY North County program. In her role, she supports the development and promotion of healthy living and local food initiatives.
She is a dedicated professional with a passion for community service, education, and sustainability. With experience in elementary school systems, she provided reading and English support for youth before transitioning to work in social services. For 12 years, Trudey played a vital role in a group home for teens in Akwesasne, NY, helping to guide and support young individuals.
Beyond work, Trudey is an avid outdoors enthusiast who enjoys hiking, kayaking, gardening, and camping. As an experienced hunter, she values sustainable practices and natural foods. Her small honeybee farm allows her to sell local honey, reflecting her commitment to natural sweeteners and local agriculture. At home, Trudey keeps chickens and shares her space with beloved pets, including Great Danes Willow and Finn, a Bernedoodle named Benny, and a Siamese cat, Winston. Most of all, she cherishes the time spent with her husband Cliff and grandchildren, making family a central part of her life.
