Louise, our St. Lawrence County Energy Advisor, brings a diverse background in energy conservation, land conservation, and communications to CCE St. Lawrence and the North Country Clean Energy Hub.

Having agricultural and rural roots, Louise had chosen the North Country as her home nearly 20 years ago and briefly worked locally in energy conservation and resources. In her ‘retirement’, she has returned after having moved and worked as the Executive Director of a land trust with responsibility for over 4,000 acres of working agricultural and conservation lands and 136 miles of public mixed-use trails in rural northeastern California—true cowboy country!

Prior to that, she served as a preservation professional in several organizations, as well as cutting her teeth in fund development for several nonprofits in New York and New Jersey. Before shifting her career, she was a co-owner and senior partner in a boutique communications and marketing firm that served Fortune 500 companies and several international clients.

Today, she’s happy to be contributing to the health of her North Country home by reaching out into our communities with workshops and information about energy saving, money saving, and renewable energy resources. While part-time, her days are full as she meets and speaks with homeowners and tenants throughout the county and assists them to access low-cost and no-cost programs to help them be more comfortable in their homes.
