The pollinator garden at the Extension Learning Farm in Canton transformed a weedy strip to a lush, eye-catching garden that provides nectar, pollen, and shelter to our insect friends. In this free evening program, Master Gardener Volunteers will show you how they prepared the soil for planting, mulched, chose plants, laid out, and maintain this beautiful space. They will point out some of their favorite plants and answer any questions you have about taking on a similar project.
Among others, expect to see these in full bloom: garden phlox, blazing star, meadowrue, black-eyed Susan, Joe-Pye weed, butterfly weed, giant fleece flower, anise hyssop, and calendula.
Chilled drinks will be available.
In case of inclement weather, check this page after 2pm on July 29th for cancellation information.
