Join us for a workshop on Soil Building Methods for Organic Growers, where we’ll explore practical ways to improve soil health and fertility naturally. Topics will include soil testing, approved organic amendments, mulching,compost and cover crops. Whether you're a market grower, homesteader, or backyard gardener, you’ll leave with tools and strategies to build healthier, more productive soil.

Instructor Bios
Christopher Kemnah (NOFA-NY): Chris is an Organic Educator for NOFA-NY. He has many years of experience in organic dairy, grass-fed production, and organic crop production including vegetable production. He is excited about organic and organic adjacent growers coming together to learn and share. His real passion is leading growers to nutrient dense production and truly understanding soil health.
Eric Antrim: Eric is the Crop and Soil Specialist for the Tri-County Ag Team. He earned a B.S. and M.S. in Plant Science from Fresno State University in California where he worked for the Agricultural Research Service division of Crops, Disease, Pests and Genetics, focussing on bio-control options to mitigate grapevine trunk diseases.He also has experience as an adjunct Plant Science Teacher at Reedley College and as a crop consultant.
