Growing Garlic

  • Thursday, October 5, 2023, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM

Workshop Description:

Garlic planting season is coming up! It is always a joy to plant garlic in the fall and see it emerge as one of the first spring plants. The Growing Garlic workshop will include a demonstration on how to prepare a bed, plant garlic cloves, and mulch as well as information on summer care, harvest, and curing garlic for storage. You will have a successful garlic planting in no time! Master Gardener volunteers receive intensive training from Extension on growing many different plants and then share this information with the community through workshops and 1-1 support. Class size is limited, register below to reserve your spot.

This workshop is part of the Grow and Preserve series which consists of paired workshops on cultivating food plants and then preserving the harvest from May through October 2023. The Grow and Preserve workshop series is dedicated to sharing timely information in a hands-on, accessible format, including support materials for participants to use at home.
