Workshop Description:
Herbs are essential ingredients to bring pizzazz to your meals. Preserving herbs from your garden or indoor growing pots is simple and can ensure you have delicious flavors at your fingertips throughout the year. Learn several techniques for preserving fresh herb flavors in this class led by Extension educators and Master Food Preserver volunteers. Preservation topics include freezing, dehydrating, and fermenting of both perennial and annual herbs. Master Food Preserver volunteers receive intensive training from Extension on preserving many different foods and then share this information with the community through workshops and 1-1 support. Class size is limited, register below to reserve your spot.
This workshop is part of the Grow and Preserve series which consists of paired workshops on cultivating food plants and then preserving the harvest from May through October 2023. The Grow and Preserve workshop series is dedicated to sharing timely information in a hands-on, accessible format, including support materials for participants to use at home.
