Workshop Description:
There are endless varieties and ways you can incorporate herbs into your garden and home, whether for food, pollination, landscaping or medicinal purposes. Stroll through the gardens at littleGrasse Community Farm to discover more about annual and perennial herbs to use in the kitchen. Taste, smell, and learn about caring for herbs. Some of the herbs covered in this session include mints, oregano, rosemary, sage, thymes, parsley, cilantro/coriander, dill, and tarragon.
The workshop is led by Master Gardener volunteers who receive intensive training from Extension on growing many different plants and then share this information with the community through workshops and 1-1 support. Class size is limited, register below to reserve your spot.
This workshop is part of the Grow and Preserve series which consists of paired workshops on cultivating food plants and then preserving the harvest from May through October 2023. The Grow and Preserve workshop series is dedicated to sharing timely information in a hands-on, accessible format, including support materials for participants to use at home.
