Join the SLC County 4-H Horse program for the 4-H Riding Clinic on Saturday, May 18, 2024. This clinic is for enrolled 4-Her's who have a passion for horses and want to expand their knowledge by working with experienced volunteers. This program will provide interactive, hands-on experience for youth to learn about raising and showing horses while developing horsemanship skills that will last a lifetime. This is a riding clinic, but individuals without horses are welcome to attend. All horses attending must have coggins and rabies within the year and Rhino/Flu in 6 months.
Saturday Event Schedule:
Evaluations - 9 AM-11 AM
Mounted English lessons (3-4 Riders at a time)
Unmounted Lessons -
Lunch - 12 PM
Please bring a bag lunch
Halter Clinic
Trail Practice - Available All day
Mounted & Unmounted lessons (If needed)
**The Equestrian Sport Training Center facility will also be holding an optional open horse show, on Sunday, May 19th. This is not a 4-H event, but 4-H'ers do receive a discounted price for class entries.
