Learning Farm Programs

The Extension Learning Farm can provide your classroom with an experiential learning opportunity that reinforces and brings to life the formal school curriculum. Tailored fieldtrips include an variety of hands-on lessons and activities led by experienced Extension staff, interns and volunteers. Programs can be designed so learning outcomes align with school standards. Below are some examples of how we can coordinate with the curriculum and topics being taught in the classroom:

  • STEM concepts related to sustainable energy, animal science, and plant science
  • Careers explorations related to agriculture in St. Lawrence County
  • Understanding both global and local food systems
  • Literature such as "Hatchet" and experiencing outdoor survival firsthand
  • And much much more.

Check out the many lesson topics available and contact us to to set up you educational experience today!

The Extension Learning Farm is the perfect place to bring education to life!
