SNAP-Ed New York

SNAP-Ed is a FREE, confidential nutrition education program that helps families manage food resources during tough economic times. SNAP-Ed has a goal to improve the health and well-being of families with limited resources. Through a series of lessons, a nutrition educator will provide practical, hands-on activities and healthy meals as well as explore the importance of physical activity in a healthy lifestyle.

Eligibility

Eligibility requirements include: applying for or currently receive food stamps, OR are in receipt of or participate in WIC, Head Start, Medicaid, Aid for Families with Dependent Children (AFDC), or Supplemental Security Income (SSI).

The North Country SNAP-ED team works with residents of the following Counties in New York State:

St. Lawrence

Jefferson

Lewis

Franklin

Clinton

Essex
