Want to preserve the color and beauty of seasonal flowers and learn how to press them onto textiles? Join us at the Traditional Arts Gallery of Upstate New York (TAUNY) where In Season: Our Rural Food System in Photos is on display, to find new ways to enjoy the seasons hues! Ashley Campbell of Trout and Heron, who is a land-based learning and storytelling educator will be leading the workshop. 

One tote per participant will be provided for the flower pressing technique. In addition to flower pressing, participants will also be able to try veggie stamping, a fun way to make patterns on cloth or paper and are encourage to bring along additional textiles to try stamping on. 

The event will take place on Friday July 29th in the upstairs space at the TAUNY Center in Canton. You can sign up for a time block from 10:00 - 10:45 OR 10:45 - 11:30. Time slots will be limited to 5 kids per block. This workshop is for ages 4 and up, children under 14 will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Advanced registration is required.
