nyimapinvasives.org is New York State’s online mapping tool and database for invasive
species observations and coordination. This training will cover the new 3.0 version.
Early detection of invasive species is critical to help reduce their impacts. With invasive
species in our area, such as the Emerald Ash Borer, and new ones coming, reporting your
observations will be a key component in reducing their spread and impact. Come learn how to use this great tool and recognize some of the local invasive species!
Training will include an indoor session covering invasive species ID, online iMap 3.0 training, and an intro to the mobile app with an out- door field session. A smartphone is recommended for training.
Please bring a bagged lunch, beverage & dress for outdoor weather!
