Community Ash Tree Survey Project Workshop

The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe, Forestry Resources Program in collaboration with the US Forest Service and USDA-Animal Plant and Health Inspection Service (USDA-APHIS) is providing a community work shop to explain the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) community volunteer program.

Community Members will learn:

  • The background and life cycle of EAB
  •  EAB impacts to tribal community forests
  • How many trees are needed and why community members are being asked to help
  • View the sampling map
  • How community members can participate
  • How an ash tree is girdled
  • Ash tree peeling in the fall and information about a fall workshop
