St. Lawrence County boasts two knowledgeable groups that are eager to help you raise a healthy garden and preserve a bountiful harvest.The Master Food Preserver and Master Gardener volunteers will be at the Canton Farmers Market on the 1st Friday of the month throughout the market season. Mark your calendars!
In addition to answering your preservation and horticulture questions, the Master Gardeners will be offering free soil pH tests. Bring your pressure canner gauge and the Master Food Preservers will test it for accuracy. These services are free and help promote a successful year in the yard and the kitchen. Visitors to our booth can also learn about the upcoming season of food preservation classes in the Harvest Kitchen at the Extension Learning Farm.
